Your details and the client's, invoice number, date, due date and terms
Ten line items with quantity, rate and an amount that calculates itself
Subtotal, discount percentage, tax rate, tax and total due, all formulas
A notes block for payment instructions
Prints cleanly to one page

How to use the template

Open it, replace the sample business and client details, type your line items, and set the discount and tax rate cells. Every amount, the subtotal, tax and total due recalculate on their own. Save a copy per invoice with the number in the file name, and export to PDF before sending.

The layout prints to a single page. Keep the notes block for payment instructions; an invoice without a way to pay is the one that waits.

Template or software

A spreadsheet is fine for a few invoices a month. It cannot tell you who has paid, remind a late client, or put the income in your books. The generator on this site makes a one-off invoice faster still, and the EazeAccounts free plan sends ten a month with online payment and tracking.
