How to use it
Type your business details on the left and the client's on the right, add a line for each product or block of work, set a discount or sales tax rate if either applies, and watch the invoice on the right update. When it looks right, click Download PDF and choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere; the whole thing runs in your browser.
Invoice numbers should never repeat. The generator suggests one built from today's date; keep your own sequence if you already have one.
What a proper invoice needs
The word "Invoice", a unique number, the date, your legal business name and contact details, the client's name and address, a description of what was delivered, quantities and rates, the total, the due date and how to pay. In the United States there is no fixed legal format, but a missing due date or payment method is the most common reason an invoice sits unpaid.
Net 30 means payment within 30 days of the invoice date. For new or small clients, shorter terms and a card or bank-transfer link get you paid faster than a mailed check ever will.
When to stop using a generator
